About Titus Community

Titus Community was founded in 1997 by Dan & Jackie Boden and Bob & Denise
Mersmann. It was at that time, they were attending a small church pastored by
Bill Lewis, who encouraged his members to help the community by getting
involved. He emphasized that the church was not in a building, but out in the
community; “So get out in the community and have church.” As a result of
Pastor Bill’s influence, Titus Community became a reality. God gave Dan and Bob
similar visions of how they were to serve the Lord, and as they shared their
visions with each other, it was decided to begin Titus Community.
Titus Community is a ministry of recovery, focusing mainly on recovery from the
affects of drug and alcohol addictions for the addict as well as the whole family.
The main ministry of Titus Community is the New Start Program which has grown
over the years to accommodate 21 men working the 16 month long program.
We are a private 501(c)(3) organization that operates solely on donations from
our supporters. We utilize the living Word of God, as well as the Twelve Steps
of recovery, and empathize the importance of having a personal relationship with
God in all of our teaching.

How You Can Help
We welcome your help at Titus Community. There are various ways you can help us minister to the
needs of others. Everything we have at Titus Community has been donated by faithful stewards of
the Lord. Here are some of the ways that your help will greatly bless us:
• Become a monthly supporter for Titus Community.
• Donate to our building fund for a new dormitory to house more men working the New Start
Program.
• Volunteer your help to just spend time with the residents, encouraging them spiritually and
building relationships. (Men only)
• Financially help The New Start Program with Room and Board for the residents.
• Helping with the Food Pantry by collecting food to be given out every Tuesday afternoon, or to
help pray with the people as they pick up their food, or to help deliver food to those
unable to get to Titus Community.
• Volunteer to teach a class at Titus Community.
• Donate needed building materials for improving our property.
• Volunteer to help with our many building projects.
• Utilize our facilities for your prayer groups.
• Volunteer to work in The Awakening Coffee Shop.
• And most important, we need your prayers for the ministry that we would only do God’s will in
everything and that the work here would result in many lives being changed to serve the
Lord, that the Message of Recovery would be proclaimed everywhere, and that all would
come to have a personal relationship with God.
All donations to Titus Community are tax deductible.
