A lot of pickin' and singin' will be going on Saturday, May 7, when Mannapalooza takes place at the Manna House, 1234 FM 359 N. in Brookshire.
The event is a benefit for Titus Community's Thrift Store Addition. The thrift store enables residents from Brookshire and surrounding areas to purchase clothing, appliances and furniture at a minimal cost. All proceeds go to Manna House's New Start Program, a residential program for men recovering from alcoholism, drugs or both. The proceeds will help sponsor men that are unable to meet the financial obligation for entry into the New Start Program. The fundraising goal is $7500.00. It's a chance for people to come out, relax and have a good time, The Mannapalooza admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
Titus Community is non-profit 501c3 which includes The Manna House, a coffee shop (The Awakening), and a church (Titus Community Chapel).
